To Church or Not To Church . . .

"One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple." ~Psalms 27:4

David wrote this as he was running from King Saul. David was distressed, his future looked bleak, his wife, home, family, etc. had all been stripped away from him. He had major problems! Yet, look at his ONE desire. The one thing he wanted more than anything in the world. Not to curl up on his bed and sleep away his troubles. Not even for his troubles to go away. He didn't need retail therapy to help with stress. He didn't have to call someone. No, he wanted to go to church. Be around church people. See the beauty of the Lord and to pray.

What do you do when confronted with a trial? Do you run, do you hide, do you cry, do you melt, or do you desire to go to church? Do you neglect church? Do you find reasons to stay home? The one place you should make sure you don't neglect when in the midst of a trial is the one place people often forsake first, Church!

Someone once said, you are either in a trial, coming out of a trial, or heading into a trial. Remember to not forsake church. Be faithful to church. God will reward you for it!
